The subfloor was tackled with flooring grade plywood and smoothing compounds to create the perfect surface to install the LVT flooring. We love this light oak coloured plank against the deep blue kitchen panels. The feature strips added more depth, giving an authentic and convincing wood effect, with the practicality offered by luxury vinyl tiles.

This customer has installed some wood effect LVT themselves, but unfortunately the floor had failed due to incorrect subfloor preparation. The colour choice was easy in this case, as the customer wanted the same colouring as before, but we did change the layout after suggesting the option of feature strips to create this shipdeck flooring appearance.
