For the lounge we suggested a traditional coloured engineered wood plank, but installing the boards at a 45 degree angle as well as using decorative rope for edging where it was needed. This gave a warm and cosy feel to the room and added something a little different. The kitchen was fitted with a beautiful, patterned luxury vinyl tile, which was installed at an angle to give a quirky look as well as separating their kitchen area from the dining area in an open planned space. A premium brass trim was used for the join between the two floor types (wood and LVT) which gave a classy finish. Lastly, the staircase was fitted with a deep blue carpet runner with pewter coloured stair rods.
Quavers Yard
This couple wanted a mix of different floor types and were clear from the moment we first began working with them that they prefer a unique style. They were sure that engineered wood was the right choice for their lounge but wanted to discuss options to make the wooden floor a little more interesting. The couple were open to suggestions for their kitchen and their staircase.
